MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – September 13, 2013  – Couchbase, a leader in NoSQL database technology and the company behind the Projeto de código aberto do Couchbase, today unveiled its breakthrough mobile strategy, JSON Anywhere, the first and only NoSQL offering specifically designed to meet the data management needs of the booming mobile application market.  Couchbase also announced three new products associated with its strategy; Couchbase Lite, Couchbase Sync Gateway, and Couchbase Cloud™.  The company will announce its mobile strategy and new products at Couchbase [SF], its annual user conference.

The Couchbase JSON Anywhere strategy is targeted at mobile application developers that want to create highly responsive, data-centric applications that are always-available regardless of network connectivity. JSON Anywhere means: JSON on the device, JSON on the wire, and JSON in the cloud. Data stored in Couchbase Lite on a mobile device is seamlessly synchronized with the Couchbase Server in the cloud, enabling the simple development of a new class of occasionally connected, data intensive mobile applications.

Couchbase Lite is a secure, ultra-lightweight, native JSON-based NoSQL database built for the online/offline mobile world.  It is the first native NoSQL database for mobile devices, providing native cross-platform support for iOS, Android and REST/HTML5.

Gateway de sincronização do Couchbase enables easy, reliable data sync to the cloud. Built on a shared nothing architecture, the Couchbase Sync Gateway provides the extremely high scalability required by mobile applications and solves complex distributed data synchronization, including conflict resolution.
