I’m happy to share that we’ve released Couchbase Mobile 1.2, available now for download.

In this release, we’ve focused on building new features that address the needs for easier administration, better security and even greater performance at scale.

Highlights include:

Reduced administration complexity

  • New management controls make it easier to scale with optimized management of adding and removing nodes
  • New RPM capabilities that simplify in place upgrades

 

Increased security

  • Couchbase Lite enterprise level 256-bit AES full database encryption

 

Increased performance

  • Introduced Couchbase’s new storage engine ForestDB in Couchbase Lite, delivering 2 – 5x faster performance than previous releases
  • New optimizations for memory/connection/resource management provide better performance for nodes under high loads
