During our recent third quarter fiscal 2025 earnings call, we were proud to share the great momentum we saw with expansions and new logos for both Couchbase Enterprise and Capella. We saw exciting customer wins across several industries, including government, gaming, fintech, e-commerce, insurance, technology, communications and travel and hospitality.

Here are some of the Capella customer highlights from the quarter:

    • A new Capella logo from Q3 was Lasso Security, a cybersecurity company that protects businesses using Gen AI technologies by providing real-time threat detection and remediation capabilities. This customer selected Capella to store a growing amount of data as it scales, and required a cloud database that would provide speed, ease of development and strong search capabilities. Capella was chosen to replace a competing database because of its top tier performance.
    • eBooks.com is a digital bookstore that sells ebooks from local and global publishers to a world-wide audience that can be read on tablets, phones and computers. This customer selected Capella to power a mobile app that stores user-generated book information including bookmarks, highlights, and annotations. eBooks.com needed a database solution with offline-first mobile capabilities to ensure the user experience is consistent regardless of connectivity.
    • ANDMORE is a wholesale marketplace provider offering physical B2B markets that create opportunities for wholesale buyers and sellers to connect, grow and prosper. ANDMORE selected Capella to replace MongoDB Realm for its trade show mobile application that allows users to view vendors and products. This customer needed a cloud database platform that could deliver high performance, scalability and offline-first mobile experiences at the most compelling price-performance.
    • Textback.ai is an AI-powered SMS marketing platform that provides mass texting, SMS automation, and long-form messaging to help businesses level up their marketing efforts. This customer needed a flexible and fully managed cloud database to secure and manage a large amount of user profile data including names, phone numbers, and phone carriers. Couchbase Capella was selected for its flexibility, superior performance and ease of scalability compared to other database providers.
    • PlanetWatchers combines the power of AI, deeptech and geospatial data to revolutionize crop insurance. This customer required a highly flexible database with vector search and analytics capabilities and selected Capella to replace a competing database platform for its agriculture analytics and tracking software because of the superior performance our database provided.
    • A Capella expansion in Q3 was AI-powered customer intelligence platform provider, Dialpad. Capella was initially chosen to eliminate maintenance costs and reduce database management as Dialpad scaled its customer engagement chatbot application. This customer has continued to expand its partnership with us and invest in Capella to support its cloud first-initiatives and explore additional use cases.
    • An EMEA based airline decided to migrate to Capella due to our fully managed capabilities and enhanced features like Capella iQ to improve developer productivity.
    • We saw our largest Capella migration to-date with a Fortune 500 global hospitality company, where we power its mission critical central reservation system and member loyalty program. It originally selected Couchbase to replace its legacy infrastructure in order to create personalized customer experiences, improve online reliability and release new apps faster. This customer decided to migrate to Capella to further modernize its infrastructure and align with its cloud first digital transformation initiative.

In addition to Capella customer momentum, Couchbase Enterprise continues to power mission-critical applications for our customers. Here are some Enterprise customer wins we shared:

    • A new Enterprise customer in Q3 was a leading global insurance company that offers a variety of insurance products and services to individuals, families, and businesses where calculating and reducing risk is critical to their business. This customer transitioned from Community Edition to Couchbase Server to power internal applications for its property and casualty insurance and reinsurance businesses due to our leading price performance.
    • Another new logo came from a global airline which is leveraging our mobile capabilities and high performance platform to power its in-flight entertainment system and enable custom content for passengers.
    • A multinational technology company selected Couchbase to support content management for a public sector agency’s railway traffic planning platform because of our superior scalability and performance.
    • A major Couchbase Server expansion was a Fortune 500 global media and technology company. This customer relies on Couchbase for several use cases, including its Customer 360 application, which helps deliver enhanced customer support across multiple lines of business. By expanding its use of Couchbase, this customer was able to further consolidate its tech stack, benefiting from our platform’s flexibility and performance across multiple teams and use cases.

We’re extremely grateful to be able to showcase our ability to meet application needs across a wide range of use cases and industries through the examples of our amazing customers.
