Changing memory quotas and assigned quotas to disabled services

Hello,

I have a 2 part question

  • I have a Couchbase 5.5 Beta 5 node cluster. It has all services except for the new analytics service enabled. But When I check the memory quotas for the cluster, I see about 1.5 GB has been assigned to the analytics service even though it’s not enabled. I’ve attached screenshots. The UI does not allow me to set the analytics assigned quota to 0 - it says that a minimum of 1GB must be assigned to it. This seems to be a problem

  • Is it possible to change the memory quotas after the cluster has been deployed?

Hi @satish.anupindi,

You may have found a UI bug here, so I’m going to create a ticket. I’ll give you what I think the answers are first:

  1. It lists that amount of memory, but since you aren’t actually running the analytics service, it’s not using that memory (I think it should be grayed out or noted in the UI)
  2. It looks like you can do that, via the UI (just change the amounts in the boxes and hit “Save”).

@satish.anupindi,

I created an issue to look into this more: Loading...
