Hello, I’m trying to get this setup on my mac, but I’m trying to figure out what I should be using and what each is for.
I see this:
Which seems like what I should be using. Is this the latest and greatest? Will it work on mac? Will it work with PHP 5.5.3? Is there a maximum PHP version that it supports? What version of couchbase does this client support? Can I download the latest couchbase version with no problems?
I also see this:
Is this essentially the same as the above? Is seems out of date, but there are links to it from the couchbase website. Same questions: Will it work on mac? Will it work with PHP 5.5.3? Is there a maximum PHP version that it supports? What version of couchbase does this client support? Can I download the latest couchbase version with no problems?
Sorry for all the questions, I’m just trying to wrap my head around exactly what I should be using.
I can see how that can be confusing @rbrt, sorry about that. @brett19 is the maintainer. He and I will figure out how to collapse this down. I think it’s a result of us consolidating a couple of efforts.
Best place to start is actually linked off of developer.couchbase.com. That’s the authoritative place.
We publish the latest to PECL, so you should be able to, in most cases, just pecl install the extension.
There used to be a table that covers what server releases are supported, but it looks like it may have gone missing in a recent migration. Quick answer is that the current release supports all versions of Couchbase since 3.0.
