Is it possible to configure the Couchbase service (and all processes) to use a user other then the LSA one?
What are the minimum resource permissions required?
I’m far from a linux administration expert, but have you tried a non-root installation? https://docs.couchbase.com/server/current/install/ubuntu-debian-install.html
@matthew.groves
I’m on Windows Server 2016 / 2019.
We prefer that all Couchbase processes would run under minimal required privileges.
If you tell me that the System user is the minimum we can go… I’ll live with it…
Ah, I assumed LSA was Linux System Administrator for some reason.
I’m afraid I still need an answer for this one.
I created a user, gave it the “Log on as service” policy right.
Gave it write permissions to the Couchbase folder.
Is this enough?
