Kafka Connectors need a restart after couch base server restart

Hi,

We are using Couchbase Kafka Connector 3.2.3 , the problem is when one restarts the couch base server the kafka connector also need a restart.

Is it possible to correct this.

Hi Pankaj,

That doesn’t sound good. I’ll see if we can reproduce the problem.
I’ve filed KAFKAC-97 and added you as a watcher.

Does the connector quietly stop working, or do you see error messages?

No error messages come I think but I will re produce this and let you know.

An update, for posterity:

This is a regression introduced in version 3.2.3 of the Kafka connector. The root cause is a regression in the Java DCP client library (JDCP-84). It will be resolved in the upcoming 3.3.0 connector release.
