Rebalance exited with reason service_rebalance

Hello,

I’m trying to setup a Couchbase cluster and I get the following error when I rebalance. How can I resolve this?

Rebalance exited with reason {service_rebalance_failed,index,
{linked_process_died,<20730.31891.1>,
{no_connection,“index-service_api”}}}

Version: Community Edition 5.1.1 build 5723
OS: Centos 7

The error is coming from the Index service. Looks like index service is not able to start. Please make sure the required ports for index service are open https://docs.couchbase.com/server/current/install/install-ports.html.

Thanks, opened up the remaining ports and it has solved the problem.

May I know, which specific port was not opened and how did you opened the index port? @ghaleez @deepkaran.salooja

@karthik_nathan , you’ll need to make sure all ports required by index service are open. Please check the firewall rules.
