Hi,
Running couchbase server 6.5, I see the following problems with the sigar_port process.
- Sudden and sustained increase in the cpu usage of the process. We don’t know what causes it to happen, only that a server reboot fixes it (until the next time).
- More than one running instance of the sigat_port process - this leads to further cpu usage, we assume there should always be one instance only.
I’ve looked at previous forum questions on this issue but haven’t found anything that has helped identify why this is happening.
I know that there are changes to the couch base sigar process in version 7 but upgrading is not currently an option.
Can anyone give any pointers on how to analyse what is happening? I see a sigar_port log file created but it’s empty. I can see in the source that there are log statements - is it possible to enable this logging or increase the log level?
Are there any known common causes of this which we could check for?
Any help with this issue would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig
