but it looks like close the service.
I am planning to use vps as development environment.

50~100m for bucket in development mode is enough
The minimum requirements are declared here. dual core 4GB is fine for development

I run couchbase server on ubuntu 14.04(vmware) with 2g ram i3 2.2g cpu without any problem.
